Brundage Park Playhouse is proud to continue our tradition of presenting affordable, quality entertainment to our patrons during the 2014 Season. We sincerely appreciate your patronage and welcome you to Brundage Park Playhouse for the following productions in 2014. Ease on down the road of magic and whimsy with The Wizard of Oz. Then join us in Philip King’s hilarious English comedy, followed by a Disney classic familiar to all. Our Kid’s Cabaret will leave you in awe of our local young talent. Fall brings Hugo and Kim and the tale of young love and a rock ‘n roll heartthrob. Finally, we close our season with the march of the wooden soldiers in an old classic you won’t want to miss!

Bundage Park Playhouse gives this beloved tale by L. Frank Baum the royal treatment! Follow young Dorothy Gale and her faithful companion Toto on their magical, musical adventures in the Land of Oz. This timeless story is definitely one that the whole family will enjoy.

Set in the quaint English village of Merton_Cum-Middlewick, this hilarious play will have the audience in stitches the entire time. The vicar, his wife, their maid and other assorted and sometimes unsavory visitors combine in this zany, madcap romp that is English comedy at its best. Brundage Park Playhouse is delighted to present this old school treasure.

The enchanting tale of Toymaker Geppetto and his little wooden puppet is re-imagined in this Broadway Junior version based upon the classic Disney story. This new musical boasts favorite tunes from “When You Wish Upon a Star” and “I’ve Got No Strings”, as well as brand new tunes by the Oscar and Grammy Award winner and master melodist, Stephen Schwartz. Brundage Park Playhouse is proud to present this musical as a part of our 2014 season!

 

 

Kid’s Cabaret

One of our favorite productions, the 2014 Kid’s Cabaret is sure to please audiences of all ages! A wonderful chance for our youth to take center stage and shine in delightful musical numbers.

This Tony Award-winning musical is an American theater classic. When teenager Kim MacAfee wins a contest to be the fan chosen to kiss rock and roll star Conrad Birdie goodbye before he goes into the Army, life in Sweet Apple, Ohio is never the same again. Featuring well-known hits such as “Kids”, “A Lot of Livin’ to Do”, “One Boy” and many others, Bye Bye Birdie is nothing but good ol’ fashioned fun!

 

 

BABES IN TOYLAND

Villainous Uncle Barnaby, a scheming miser who is planning to do away with his nephew (Alan) so that he can claim his inheritance. He also plans to marry Mrs. Piper’s daughter Mistress Mary, who is supposed to marry Alan. To force the issue he plans to foreclose on Mother Pipers shoe is she doesn’t marry him. Alan and Mary get the idea that the Master Toymaker of Toyland can help them, because he can do anything. They travel to Toyland for his help, but Barnaby follows with his henchmen to do away with Alan and still marry Mary. Will he succeed or will there be a happy ending? Charming old fashioned songs by Victor Herbert and Glen MacDonough.
